Beauty Review – Want big dolly eyes that sparkle?

Sponsored Advertorial

Geo lens contacts were one of the first few brands I’d tried when I’d first started to wear cosmetic contact lenses! I’m sure they were pretty much everyone’s as well.

Shipped in directly from Korea, GEO Contact Lens is the official distributor of GEO Cosmetic Color Lenses. The prices and quality of the contact lenses are strongly backed up by GEO Medical Co.,Ltd.

GEO Contact Lens has generously sponsored me with 2 pretty pairs of Geo lenses and of which, I will be reviewing 1 pair today! 🙂

I’m wearing GEO Angel Violet (Magic Color)! 🙂

Personally, the colours I would wear for contact lenses are black, grey, blue, pink and violet. I’m not a fan of red, green or other weirdass colours.

The trick to getting bigger dolly eyes is to choose those with a black outer ring, not only does it help to enlarge your pupils, they magically enhance your eyes too, giving them an alluring sparkling look!

In addition, other than proper care and usage of the lens, when choosing contact lenses, try not to get those with extra large diameters like 18mm. I think 16 to 18mm is rather big. I’d tried them on before and it just adds on to the artificiality! Whenever I see girls with overwhelming sizes of contact lens, it’s not only a major turn off but it kinda reminds me of Furby?! That scary looking toy… 😦

The one I’m wearing is only 14.2mm but it looks perfectly fine on me, not too big not too small. Most importantly, it fits the size of your eyes and eye sockets.

Another disadvantage in choosing a over-sized contact lens is that you might feel a ‘cutting’ feeling under your top eyelids. Based on my personal experience, that’s because not all eyes can withstand such huge diameters of the contact lenses. I’ve encountered this before and trust me, it was really a waste of money when you can’t continue wearing them anymore and have to discard a new pair! 😦

So thank god, Geo lens series range from 14.2mm – 15.0mm! And that’s another reason why you should shop with GEO Contact Lens ! 🙂

Last but not least, and of utmost importance, all GEO contact lenses from GEO Contact Lens comes with an anti-fake sticker which provides a 20 digit codes and you are able to check the authenticity of your lenses with GEO Medical Co.,Ltd ● GEO Authentication.

With more than 14,000 fans on their Facebook fan page, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t start shopping with GEO Contact Lens today!!! 🙂

For another review of the other pretty pair of Geo lenses, do stay tuned! ❤

Beauty Reviews – Double Eyelid Sticker Tapes in Black

Remember how I was so excited over the these sticker tapes in black? Yes! They have arrived and I’ve worn them out to try! A mixture of both good and bad actually… Read my previous post here!

I bought these few to try out and would get more if they prove to be value for money. My suggestion is to get the narrow type. The shaped ones are super out of the question because it’s just so freaking long to use for the width of the eyes, well, unless you’re telling me you have super wide eyes like this…

Which I then suggest you to well, better to stay home….

I know it doesn’t make much difference but to someone who has single eyelids, it does! It helps to ‘open up’ our eyes, looking more alert and well, IMO, more pleasing to the eyes.

Not sure about you, but even with this sticker tapes, I face the same problems when using those usual transparent ones. The stickiness is extremely poor, like if you accidentally stick onto your eyelids wrongly and want to remove and stick it on correctly again, the stickiness becomes compromised. And you’ll face problems trying to hold them up again.

Now, if you are facing the same problems as me, here’s a little tip for you. It works for me.

Using the glue for falsies, dab it a little onto the sticky side of the sticker tape and stick it onto your eyelids. Brain cells’ activation proved to be functioning well and came to a conclusion that since the glue for falsies is able to stick them on so well on your eyelids, it should do the same for sticker tapes too right? Brain, you have done me proud! And true enough, they do stick better! 🙂

For me, I’d prefer parallel eyelids over tapered ones! They look so much better, so even when I’m on falsies, I’d always try to achieve the ‘parallel eyelids’ look! 🙂

Sadly, I believe to the ‘Mono Eyelids’ Group 😦

Here’s another tip when using double eyelid sticker tapes.

If you wish to achieve a wider and deeper double eyelids, paste the tapes a little higher than what you usually paste. Perhaps try 1 to 1.5cm from your eyelids. It creates a deep-set eyelids which allures 😉 Especially useful if you want to achieve parallel eyelids! 😀

Yes, you would have to apply eyeliner to cover up those parts that aren’t black. You don’t want to go around looking weird and the double eyelid sticker tapes are meant to be concealed. The trick is not to allow anyone to notice them.

I’m using the K-Palette eyeliner BUT I’m advising you to get my Holy Grail – Bourjois Ultra Black eyeliner. Both are liquid eyeliners of course. I bought the former because I was in need of an eyeliner previously and couldn’t get hold of the Bourjois one, which I have been using for a long time.

After applying the eyeliner, look downwards so that you don’t get the eyeliner smudging all over your eyelids. Let it dry out first and test if they are done drying using your fingers. Gently dab to test.

After that, you’re all done! 😀

Hope you like this entry post as much as I do!

For all the single eyelids babes, don’t fret! With just extra patience and more practice, you’ll create lovely double eyelids in no time, even with falsies! I’m still on my learning journey as well!

JIA YOU! 😀 ❤

Single eyelids woes

While single eyelids or some call it mono lids look extremely sexy on hot Korean guys, most ladies yearn for double eyelids when they have single eyelids. Ladies like me 😦

My single eyelids were due to inheritance from my parents, of which, my dad had his double eyelids magically appearing and perpetually remaining as they are now when he reached 30. LOL, surprising I know!

So anyway, without double eyelids, eyes with single eyelids look dull, sleepy and well… Ugly, to me.

It is magical that I have the capability to create the double eyelids when I put on falsies! 🙂 Thus, most of the times when I’m out to play, I’m always using them 🙂

I have settled for no eye makeup recently on days which I just head to work and back home, partly because of time management as well as the hassles. So on those days, I’m always in disguise with my specs. Note how specs divert attention to details on your eyes as they sort of ‘hide’ them.

And wearing falsies with specs over is not recommendable and quite impossible without hurting you eyes/eyelids because the they clashes with the specs. Just like how the eyelash extensions did. Extremely uncomfortable and painful! 😦

I used to wear double eyelid tapes for a while but stopped ever since. I was using the usual nude/white coloured ones but realised that they are actually quite obvious. Or perhaps I was thinking too much and afraid that others might discover them – which I think it’s rather embarrassing. I’ve seen ladies with double eyelid tapes as well and well, not really a fan of that sight. 😦

Recently, I’d chanced upon this new double eyelid tapes WHICH COME IN BLACK!!!

This reminds me of how I’d used to colour my white double eyelid tapes with my eyeliner but ended up with a huge mess because the colour runs.

Now, they come in black as they are! Extremely excited to know of this and heh, I’d just ordered 2 trial sets for the narrow and shaped style ones (20 each) online from GMarket 🙂

Talk about overspending…! =x

Here are some pictures to satisfy your curiosity! 😀

Will update this space again one I get hold of them! ❤

Notice how cool is it to stick on falsies on?! But I’m a little skeptical because I’m afraid that it might fall off any minute. Doesn’t seem very securely glued. Will try and see how! 😀

Not sure who will buy these wide style ones but it looks very comical to me. Kinda reminds me of the La Pi Xiao Xing’s eyebrows? LOL?!
Hope you guys are as excited as me! 😀

Beauty Reviews – Shiseido White Lucent Anti-dark Circles Eye Cream

Bought some skincare products online at a real steal!

Mentioned about the highly raved Shiseido White Lucent Anti-dark Circles Eye Cream and yes I went to get 1 for myself. My dark circles are quite bad IMO due to those late nights of mugging, partying and lack of rest now that I’ve entered the workforce. Sleep and rest is never enough, especially when you are working. I’m quite sure everyone would agree with me 😦

Of course, don’t expect any skincare product to contain any magical effect which would produce immediate effect. Changes that place gradually and so do these products 🙂 Unless you are telling me that you can vouch for such products?! Then well, please do share! HAHA 😀

I’ve received my parcel on Wednesday and used the eye cream at night. It has some nice scent and the cream looks pearly white – a very appealing colour to women. Also, I find the packaging of the white lucent range extremely captivating – pearly white and pink. ❤ 🙂

Picture

Yes, I’m a little disappointed over the packaging of the parcel. Not professional at all despite being an online shop and not some blogshops. 😦
Picture

Yes I’ve gotten Kose skincare products as well and I’m not sure how come the free leather pouch is from Lancome instead of Kose? LOL.

I find the cream definitely richer than those gel and of course, heavier weight than them. So far, no milia seeds whatsoever. I’ve not had them before anyway, so I guess it’s quite safe for me to experience new products. Plus, I don’t have sensitive skin 🙂 And I’m thankful for that 😀

I got it at around $62 whilst it retails at around $80 for just a small bottle of 15ml.

Remember to use your ring finger when applying any creams/gels or any cosmetics (e.g. concealer) because it has limited strength compared to all the other fingers. This is because the skin around your eyes, especially the lids, are the thinnest amongst the other body areas, hence you should take extra pre-caution when applying anything around the eye areas. Try to be as gentle as possible.

I’ve got to confess that sometimes I tend to forget as well because we are too reliant on our other master fingers such as the pointer and middle finger, but well, for the sake of your beauty, try using the ring finger, alright? 🙂

Shall update this space again on its effects 🙂

I pray hard that this shall be my holy grail for my dark circles… 😦
