Shopping & Food Galore!

Trust that your weekend was good, thought I know this might come in a little too late, considering the fact that it’s Wednesday today!

Here are some updates of my life over the weekend :

Belated bday treats at Nihon Mura Cineleisure by friends! 🙂

Solo chillax after Group Legal meeting at HQ and whilst waiting for bf to arrive to have dinner together at town 🙂

And we had dinner at Bao Today outside Somerset313 🙂

I decided to eat less only because I gobbled down those sinful stuffs at Starbucks.

And another town date on TGIF and I had Starbucks again… DAMN FATTENING I KNOW!

Impromptu shopping on Saturday… FAT AND BROKE.

There was an ongoing promo at Uniqlo and there were massive crowds!

Long Qs for trying of clothes as well as payment! Gosh!

Got them at a steal. I bought only 1 as I’m not really a jeans fan as I feel leggings are more comfortable. Chose pink because all the other colours (unusual ones) are just weird.

And bf got himself his Samsung Note II like finally! 🙂

2 for $30 🙂

Last minute surprise bday celebration for 1 of our friends at Beach Cabana ECP.

Ordered 4 towers in total, cute little cans of Kirin and another jug of Asahi from Breeze bar ECP (no pic though).

Some kopitiam food :

Sorry for the brief and quick updates. I’m swamped with work and I’ve an assignment on hand from AWARE – Association of Women for Action and Research on Singapore’s law in addressing domestic violence and sexual harassment. Just some brief info on this project :  The World Bank is conducting a project  which is gathering information about domestic violence and sexual harassment matters in Singapore and they have AWARE to give a civil society organization perspective. AWARE has approached me to contribute my part. This project will be published in the Women, Business and Law 2014 report which is a publication of the World Bank Group which benchmarks laws and regulations influencing women’s economic empowerment.

This is also my 1st assignment on them and I can’t wait to deliver my research results.

AWARE is Singapore’s leading gender equality advocacy group.

You may find out more about them at http://www.aware.org.sg/about/

By the way, it’s mid-week today and I will be visiting the dentist to get my braces changed to a bigger metal wire. Oh gosh, hopefully the potential weight loss could cheer me up a little somehow.

I have so many things on my ‘To-do checklist’. Hopefully, I’ll be up to task to complete them on time.

But first, I’ll have to get my cuppa coffee now.

Toodles.

Love,

Jean

Weekend without YOU.

The bf is coming home tonight but at a godly hour at 1-2plus in the morning, sg time! I didn’t manage to send him off for his bkk trip with his group of friends and neither am I going to pick him up from the airport tonight, or technically speaking, tomorrow morning. But one thing for sure is that we will be meeting tomorrow after work. Lucky him, as he doesn’t have to work tomorrow as he took leave to rest for the day. I bet he didn’t have sufficient rest over at bkk either.

Surprisingly, I braved through the weekend without bf and had some time to myself and friends. 🙂

Dined with sis and her friends (whom I know too) at Ministry of Food at Marina Square, had Ramen and proceeded to have some sinful ice creams at Cold Stone Creamery at Citylink mall. But sorry, no pics 😦

Met up with the bestie on Saturday for shopping!

And here are my loots from Bugis Street :

Personally, I don’t fancy expensive clothes and shoes. I prefer getting cheap ones, although quality may be compromised, but it still gives me the kick of getting good deals. But I know the costs aren’t that high too anyway, if they can sell at the price. I prefer splurging on branded bags 🙂

We wanted to head to Around de World for dinner but ended up at Manhanttan Fish Market at Bugis +, all because it was pouring 😦

But I’m sure we would have the chance to try it out in the near future! 🙂

Bestie 🙂

Me! 😀

And before we parted, we camwhored a little.

Apologies for the bad quality and awkward smiles (on me) because we were rushing off to catch the coming buses… LOL. Stressful u know!

To bestie : Thank you for being my bestie for the 13th year and counting! I MUST SAY THAT WE ARE REALLY OLD!

But nevertheless, thank you for staying the same and remaining true. I am glad that we have actually bonded closer than before. I’m also glad that we get along well with each other’s bf and double date for us is no problem at all. I can’t wait to be your maid-of-honour at your wedding! 🙂 ❤

And for Sunday, it was a stay-home one for me but was nevertheless tiring to the max because I spring cleaned my room! Like finally, I know!

Mom was like, “Wah, cleaning your room only after 25yrs!”  -.-

GASP.

I was never a fan of getting things organised, cleaned and packed in my room/desk because I believe that things will get messy eventually, which I have proved my own belief to be true. LOL. It’s like how I’ve never believed that there is a compelling need to make your bed since you would be using it again at night, and in fact everyday?

Okay, don’t judge me.

So I cleared my stuffs, packed and organised them, threw those unwanted stuffs… and of course, credit goes to my maid who helped too in the process with the additional help of mopping and vacuuming…

Had to clear tonnes of clothes too so as to make new space for my bursting new collection. I’ve been so addicted to online shopping and I still am! Oh gosh, seriously have to control my expenditure. 😦

And what’s worse is that, I’m still not done clearing my unwanted old clothes! I’ve already gathered 2 big bags (those black garbage bags) waiting to donate to charity – most likely The Salvation Army, and I’m sure there will still be tonnes left to give away! 😦

By the way, look what I’ve found!

NO RULES SHIRTS! ZOMG. HAHAHA!

Anyway, I know The Salvation Army only picks up furniture or bulky items but I’m hoping that these huge big bags of clothes would be considered as ‘bulky’ too. I can’t possibly drive them to the nearest outlet to drop them off, since I doubt there would be sufficient space in the car and boot? I think 2 big bags are enough to take up the whole lot of space of the car boot already.

And plus, I’m too lazy/busy to bring them down… My dad might not like to idea of this hassle too 😦

Will contact them and see how!

Crossing fingers 🙂

Hoped your weekend was good too ❤

xoxo,

Jean 🙂
